OK, peoples - I have now listened to Scientist Encounters Pac Man a couple of times and while it has some nice spots I still think it is a really poor dub album. Very lacking in power and very unsubtle in the sonic mixology department. Personal taste and all that. The snare and perc treatments are just terrible to my ears. Sounds like the digital 'verb was just too fun a toy to use frugally. Give me Tubby's spring anyday, even and especially with Scientist implementing it!

The track briefly featuring our man Eek is 'Malicious Intent' which in it's own small way says it all. I totally missed the vocal part when trying to find it a couple of days ago. I don't know the vocal version but certainly this dub does nothing for Mr. Mouse.

Anyone know where there 'terrorists in the city' dub can be found? The album version seems to be half of the possible 12" version which I must have heard years ago. Tantalizing and frustrating at the same time.

@Klaus 5 - how to discern what is 'wikidub's input and the actual 12" Sounds great...probably but why wouldn't wikidub just route the audio in to his vid capture? Always wary of people doing mashups however well intended and subtle.

Well, I think many of us are aware of what a difficult character Eek can be - certainly in recent years. Is there a reason that he unlike many other vocalists of the same time didn't get the Tubby's treatment to the full degree?

It seems to me that once you recorded at Channel 1 for instance, and did ur vocal at Tubby's it would be almost automatic that dubs would follow. Something in the vaults? Something we don't know?

enuff from me...

Back again - jus a search some more inna me 'media playa'

That Noah's Ark is indeed Greensleeves 12" and dissolves nicely into a percussive Scientist mix (there is some of the the noxious digital reverb)...nice-ish.

and Anerexol - another Greensleeves 12" - seriously I have stuff I didn't even know I had. This is not the best by any means. I can't figure out if he is for or against the speed the girls are taking or whether he likes the girls fat or slim. The head swims. Surely the dub will come and make sense of it all - ba da bing bing - nice bit of trombone...nasty bit of soprano sax...funny bit of casio boops...oh [please kill the sax]...thank you...more bone...a darker shade of Studio Uno - I doubt this is Scientist on the mix...

And Operation Eradication - another Greensleeves 12"
nice stripped down dub but way too short...

Teacher GD 12"
Snare heavy. Music weak. Lyric strong!

Wild Like a Tiger GD 107 - sounds to me like he hadn't perfected his voice yet. or he had bolted the stable and [more of that god awful sax] was trying to be more expressive. Not working for me.

Do you Remember GD 12"
hey Sean this is your vocal. This is a better bit of music!
Mixed a bit to trebly for me - but there is a lot of depth to his voice - nice!
uh oh...goes off into same or similar mix as the Pac-Man effort...to friggin' trebly for my ears...gak!

Christmas a Come GD 12"
Sen den den den diong - more of the same old EEK!
'Fill your bell fully byoy before you go'
'remember, remember, remember christmas a come'
Nice bass - no doubt about that - dodgy mixing. And again that digital reverb. Gak. No craftsmanship in the mixing.
Nah no money no flow.

That's all I've got. More than I knew!
Happy to stand corrected Sean!

hope you all go look for Eating Betty dub tracks now you know I'm such a dub fiend....

Most of his 7'' reissues have the dub on the flip side, I have ganja smuggling, no wicked can't reign, among others and they all have the dubs.
