I was certain you had an example...
My last was a shopstock copy of Trod Along Zion's Pathway... Maybe a real "one away" possibility to get a mint one...!

Same when Shoenfeld's records were on RecordsByMail.
Anything that wasn't nailed down in my house was being sold to pay for the MINT rare records that were selling like hot cakes. Even my beloved motorcycle got converted into vinyl (and a new hi-fi)!
I really DID feel like a drug addict at that time! My behaviour was just like that of a friend who once sold everything (including his girlfriend) to by heroin. When I realised the comparison I felt quite ashamed and yet still unable to control myself.
Nasty.

Well, if its the power of what's inside the music that can drive you there, there must be a crack somewhere.
I sometime have problems to pay the bills at the end of the months, but finally always find a solution, and dont feel threatend at all by a real deviancy.
I pay expensive my records, because those numbers have no sense when you see them, that number dont matter, what matter, is to listen, enjoy, meditate and share the music and message of the record. Prices here have no sense and paying pieces of wax that price has no sense. But its in no way something rational, youre driven by a passion, something in your belly and soul that have no price, at least Ive decided not to give it a price. Thus, I have many other things in my life that have no price, including my freedom, so that Ill not break the line of debts... that allow the your bank to control you. Nor have to jump here and there to ask for money... Or think money all the time...
That is a freedom I want to keep too, just have a far relationship with dunza. Dunza has nothing to do with my mind, it's a mean I use, it should stay that way.
Sometime, I got to sell records fastly to pay others that I just cant pay. If I have to sell records I will miss, I feel stupid. That has happend already and in those times, I feel like I acted stupidly. But I never blame myself for putting a high price or thing like that. Its another reality far from mine, I live a real modest life in term of money, work half time only, preserve my free time and time with family and love so much reggae music. And this reggae music, through the records I play, is part of my life.

To clarify, I was speaking of your friend Leggo, that apparently wasnt drugged with music... not of you.

I tend to collect all my other musical tastes on CD,not vinyl. Yes, CDs, Shock Horror! Bet you didn't think I'd ever say that!
Funny as I also collect all kind of music but only on LP while I listen to punk and reggae either on vinyl, CDs and mp3s (though LP is the format I like better).
I don't really have a want list. When I come across a name or an album, I try to find it on mp3 first, what is easy most of the time, then if it's good and not too expensive, I'll try to have in on CD or LP. If too expensive, I'll wait to find it cheap, maybe until death for most of them

, there's enough cheap killer LPs to be satisfied with mp3s for the others (as my LP collection is growing, it's harder and harder but I keep finding lots of nice LPs).
If I don't find an mp3 copy, I forget it until I came across the name again and make a new search.

I have two books which i put the artist, track, label, record size and my personal rating out of 10 with notes next to it sometimes for my want list, i have filled up a book so im on my second.
The ones that are 7/10 and over also get put onto a file on the pc that i then search for more frequently then the others.
I spent many a night just listening to soundclips rating tunes to my personal preference.
