Most definite...I'd also pullout the other extra 4 I mentioned earlier and line them up for the turntable
The other wicked record with one or two Dangerous dub bass-lines is Ranking Joe's Tribute to John Lennon...more specifically the track Mr Walker

Both Reggae Sound and Shinning Star are my two favorites from Earl 16. Two close seconds are Super Duper and Songs for a Reason albums.


There are a few newer tracks from Earl 16 done old roots style. I know this site caters more to pre-electronic age of Reggae, so some of you may not have heard them. Earls "One in a Million Girl" on the Them a Raiders album(~1988?) is sung over Augustus Pablos crucial track King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown. Also Earl 16s latest album Reggae Ambassador(2008) has two tracks called "Cassava Piece" and "Gold of Sheba", both songs are over the King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown rhythm. In 2004 Earl 16 released a 10" single called "I and I", and on the B side David Jahson with a song called "Share It"..this is over Prince Far I's "Commandments" rhythm and the Vital Dub "Fence Dub" rhythm. David Jahson sounding hauntingly like Earl 16. This is why I love Earl 16, hes one of the few older artists that will still pull out an old track and sing over them. Any fan of Earls older work will definitely appreciate and love these new tracks.
