i read it about 4 months ago on peter's site.
but when i wrote it here, it never got any attention, i'm very happy it got some at last.
when i wrote to colleen(d time i posted d msg bout peter) she told me dat she was goin to JA to check on him, i never followed up.

please keep prayin for him.

I think, that proceeds from Sineads O'Connor went to some fund supporting vintage artists (but I'm not sure about it). I also believe, that there is a similar fund somewhat associated with heineken or so (I red it in Vintage Boss Mag, but that's so crappy mag, I'm afraid I threw it away).

The Peter Broggs Roots Night... That's what I had in my mind. I personaly can speak for my country and it wouldn't be a problem. I think, that my friends in Slovakia would do something. And maybe in Hungary as well... So I'm waiting for feedback from France, Germany and gud ol' England.

it seems difficult to send meds or food directly to Peter because of corruption.. he must go to post office to take the needs sent and he must pay for each package..

about organizing some events, i remember that Asher Selector took all funds collected from a dance few years ago to send it to Peter.. you can follow this way..

A few days ago I read again this messages about Peter Broggs healt... I've been in contact with Calleen
..and I could talk to him a couple of times and he is in a really bad situation, he needs and urgent help!

In other messages, someone said something about make a "peter broggs roots day" or something like that; I think is a good idea!

We could do something to give him back at least just a little part for all that he made for us with his music.. and with a few effort of each of us, we could help him a lot! If you want, send me a PM with ideas...

Here's an idea that I've seen on another message board (in another context- Hurricane Katrina relief).

Let's make this thread a "sticky," and let's set a goal for this board. How about we as a group try to raise $2500 for Peter Broggs!

I had some communication with Colleen and I believe that the need is legitimate. Peter's speech has improved, but he is very weak on one side of his body and he is almost totally blind!

The tally will be on the honor system - if you can give something, post what you gave and the new board total. Not to toot my own horn, but I sent a check last week for $75, that can get us started! By the way, I generally prefer anonymous giving, but I think that making giving public is good if it helps reach a goal...

Even a small amount can make a difference. Colleen told me that the small $75 I gave would basically cover Peter's eye medication for a month. A lot of us spend more than that in a month on old vinyl!

Besides this, I'm organizing an special festival. All the people (me, producers, and artist) gonna work for free, and ABSOLUTELY ALL THE MONEY, will be sent to Peter... This not gonna be a mega festival, but Im sure that at least a few people will come, and we will get a little help to him...

We must do something, at least a minimal collaboration, for these artists who love us all

These messages are incredible! I am so thankful I was made aware of this site and all your help for Peter. He is in need badly of seeing a couple specialists in Kingston and had been unable due to costs. His medicines for his Glaucoma are also expensive and I hate to see him not using them daily as his eye pressure can rise.

We all pray that he will still be able to come out of this stroke. He has had some improvement over the last 3 years with his fingers starting to move. His speech also has gotten a bit better but he needs therapy, exercise, good diet and good vitamins to try and improve.
