I believe Pressure Sounds has become a distributor for Aurulux and Hot Pot releases (matrix #'s reflect original label). Perhaps to assist smaller labels like Aurulux/Hot Pot who may not have large distribution options.

Just spoken to Auralux;

They use a sales and marketing company called Essential who work with Pinnacle Distribution, who also look after Pressure Sounds and Hot Pot.

Incidentally, Auralux are trying to get a few releases out this year, but "it's a tough market right now."

Best we keep our fingers crossed! :)

Working together show that they are working to save the Jamaican musical heritage.

Hi Gee

Frustratingly, they can't reveal any details until the deals are signed, sealed and delivered.

Too true, Lion. I've promised them I'll buy everything they release. I realise that isn't a massive commitment in the big scheme of things, but....

I also said this many times with Greensleeves about re-releasing hard to find titles from their database. I would gladly buy most of them! I'll have to wait and see if VP makes any of it possible now

But like 6anbatte said, I'll be ready to purchase some of the new releases from Auralux as well.

i think we're all lucky that there are labels like the ones we know and love - who keep the greats in print (whether it is vinyl or cd) and make them available for us to cherish... i do use a pay download site (emusic.com) and have gotten MANY gems on there as well... but MUCH prefer to hold the original item close to my heart...
