I wouldn't exactly say countless in regards to King Tubby then.
Although not a complete discog, the list I posted is pretty extensive and I only found 4 tracks with the 'beep' intro.

Yes Matthew, i was a little extensive on my earlier comment. but iwas not only thinking about regular records but Dubplates /Slates too. but usually when certain records are on pre release [jamaican press] are unedidited cuts with false starts and beeps. but the british pressed records sometimes have the beep intro too.

Ahhh seen Dudley, didn't get any of those growing up here in the states.

Its his copyright control signal at the start of tunes for King Tubby who is a electical engineer by trade.
