Yeah leggo, I had my eye on that for awhile, before i started doing it the way i talked about in my previous posts. My deck has a built-in preamp so i didnt have to worry about that, but that ikey seems like it would just be handy to have anyway.

For me the joy of the iKey (when it arrives here at Leggo Towers) will be the ease of recording 'live' DJ sets when I'm playing out.
I'll also use it to make 'mix tapes' and Podcasts at home to upload to my mix tape website and also for sending to promoters when begging for gigs.
I've got a decent twin Technics SL1200s and Mixer plus an Apple Mac recording set but once the iKey comes I'll just use that to record direct from the mixer to external Hard Drives.
I'd also recommend an Apple mac for all those who struggle with PCs, they are really easy to use, very intuitive, reliable, free from stupid nag screens, completely free from virus and spyware problems and of course will even run Windoze (but why would you want to?). In short, they work like computers should do but Windoze doesn't.
The proof of that particular pudding is that my technophobic wife can actually use a Mac rather well (including even Photoshop!) and yet still can't even get past start up screen on a PC without shouting at it!
