i agree with above that probably an african singer, but not recorded inna african reggae style. the production sounds like UK production...

Might be from Trinidad by a band called Willage Drums of Freedom...who recorded other stuff under various names.

The harmonies remind me of a Trinidad singer called Ras Eliebank

I agree it does not sound jamaican nor UK and the caribean track (more than african) sound right to me. Could be some singer like Bankie Banx and his roots herbs. The first LP, although it is much more bluesy than this have similitudes.
