This whole idea of saving certain tracks is ridiculous - sure put em on a mixtape or something but don't dimiss the rest of the well-intentioned art on the album (which probably gives your liked tracks more meaning by juxtaposition).

I too mainly listen dub albums from track A to track O, but still I agree that most often there are only a couple of highlights per album. But I think there's also a positive way to sight this; if every track was total mindblowing material, in the end listening to the album might become a bit dull. True mindblowing experiences call for drama, something to look forward to, something special, a high point. And to balance things, I guess, something easier that gives you a little time to breath in and out as well.
The reason why some tracks don't do it for I is that on most dub albums, for some strange reason I fail to understand

, there are always major tunes. In fact, right now, no strictly minor far east style album comes to I mind, although I'm positive there has to be at least one (perhaps A. Pablo produced?). Nevertheless, the thing is that tunes going in major scales just don't ring I bell. The spiritual strength, true musical power, which makes the weakheart tremble & flee, is what I want to hear; the tunes that make I truly feel the vibrations are always the most majestic, meditative and deepest minor tunes.
Give I ancient harmonies everytime.

All these replies are very interesting, many thanks to all for your contributions.I guess it depends really how i feel, i usually play the whole dub album but sometimes pick out just one single track, eg last night with dubwise revolution featuring tubby, jammy and scientist, i ONLY listened to track 13 of the 14 over n over again, as it is a magnificent track. Usually the entire album gets listened to by me.
