Oink,
I guess what your describing about Open the Gate is the same for Build the Ark. Don't know why they were both discontinued so quickly.
Matthew,
I had some difficulty tracking down Nightfall Showcase too but am glad it eventually turned up. Are you still looking for any of the discs you have listed or have you found them all?

Hello All,
I've been looking for some of these too, especially the Lee Perry stuff and the Early B.
I got Misty in Roots - Wise and Foolish in the early 1990s, on the Kaz label, I didn't realize it's a tough one to find.
I recently got Heptones - On Top from Ernie B's and it's still listed there.
The one I've been looking for for a couple years is Tetrack, I saw it on Amazon for $79 used, unfortunately I have a strong preference for new and I've never paid that much for a disc....

Found then all some time ago, thanks for asking Jason.
Sorry for any confusion, ddin't mean to post a 'wants list'.
Most I had a hard time finding and have not seen again is why I listed them.

Tetrack's one is a fine example of an album, which is easy (and cheap)to find in lp format and haaard to find in cd format...

Matthew,
My list is a bunch that I haven't found. It's interesting that so many CDs rarely turn up. Most were printed within the last 10 or so years.
Here are some more CDs that I have found but it took forever:
Rod Taylor- If Jah Should Come Now
Anthony Johnson- Reggae Feelings
Singers and Players- War of Words
Toots and the Maytals- Knockout and Pass the Pipe
Barry Brown- Step It up Youthman
Sammy Dread- Jah Live
Michael Prophet- Consciousness and Serious Reasoning
Jolly Brothers- Conscious Man
For whatever reason all of these have become pretty difficult to find.

i agree that the misty in roots CDs are nearly impossible to find. i was lucky enough to find "jah see, jah knows" used for around 15 bucks at amoeba records in berkeley, CA. i am definitely surprised to hear that people will pay $100 for it. i feel like a lot of Studio One albums, such as On Top, were tougher to find a few years ago, but now i see them quite often. as for "nightfall showcase", i have never seen the Munich CD, but there is an Abraham version that is more common. its named "1980-81 vintage". i've been looking out for the virgin CD release of this one for awhile:
[cover=7957,1706]
hasn't turned up yet!
