I just re-discovered it,thanks to this blog. long time since i checked it. Nice work, although this claim:

'The American soul-lite duo Hall & Oates surprisingly enough recorded a cover of the DJ's hit 'Soldering' on their eponymous album. This prompted the Virgin label to sign him and, paired with producer Prince Tony Robinson, U-Roy recorded his debut album Dread In a Babylon, backed by the Skin, Flesh & Bones Band.'

is complete nonsense, Hall and Oates covered Soldering by Stanley Beckford/The Starlites, which is produced by GG's.

Ron, I sent you a mail through the website but it came back... just to say you should add the recent U Roy comp Foundation Skank 1971-1975 (Sound System label) ; and a Lee Perry collection (Ape-Ology) on Trojan which contains one of the very first U Roy tracks : Ok Corral.

And once again, great site !

** Foundation Skank 1971-1975 (Sound System label)**

I highly second that emotion. This one came out last year with little promotion, but it is definitely worth seeking out. It covers a lot of gaps in Daddy Roy works reorded between his Treasure Isle, and Tony Robinson / Virgin days. Crucial stuff, no bluff.

@slengteng

I think my mailbox is full, have to check on that.
And thanks for the add, though I have to add a few more I guess. I only just finished updating my Upsetter website and it won't for another month orso before I start updating my U Roy website.
