Children Gather Round is that Real Shaka Stepperz stylee..Especially Togo the Lion..Thats some militant vibez there..But then again Im partial to the Stepperz Nation..
I get down with all Prince Allah's stepperz tunes..The
Jah Warrior produced "Glory" and "More Love" are top notch as well..
Lion a Go Bite yu was never released on vinyl and its one of those albums where the artist didnt fully authorize its release..Some tuff tune on it still..
Good to know Prince Alla is still alive and well and looking forward to his tour with Ken Bob..
Greenwich Farm Massive!!!

I'll have to give the Shaka album another listen then. I've heard the 'Glory' album and it didn't move me much either - maybe just my own taste at fault and not the quality of the tracks. I've met the man and it is hard to dislike anything about him - he's such a sweet upful personality always with an easy laugh and positive vibe.

Back again - Rough way Ahead. Yeah the falsetto on this is not the best but the riddim is crucial.
I'm racking my brain to think of what song and vocalist - Phillip Fraser sings on the same riddim - Great Pain We Feel is the title - way better. Two great singers but Frazer nailed this one! Just found it on the 'pod
I have a really scratchy 7" ripped to mp3 I'm listening to now.
what really pisses me of is the crap job so many labels have done 'remastering' and reissuing really good music that suffers horribly from noise reduction. It has got so much better with B&F and Pressure Sounds defining the way to do it properly...
My way, a straight rip from vinyl - no noise reduction, no re-eq.
If it sounds like there is a heavy rainstorm and bacon frying becuase of the surface noise, I'm quite happy with that!

ok thanks to all, so the original questions have no real answers till now , but wait and see (it's "right fun =wich one label and format , RufRuf way A head where can I find the falseto style version)
And about the Alla Work, Iknow (& love) Only Love Can Conquer, Heaven is my roof, the two albums with jah warrior (reaaly great dont know the title anylonger) also the blakamix is quite good, But I must admitt I don't reaaly like the shaka one I don't know really why, because prince alla has a good voice and shakka supplies wicked riddim, but it doesn't work out for my hears.

I just found "ruff way ahead" on 7". It might be the version you were saying you bought already. Was your copy on the Freedom Sounds label?

Yes, Prince Alla has a lot of unreleased or very hard to find tunes from the 70's and early 80's that would really need a rerelease. Like this version of "Stone" I used on my little tribute video :

He also recorded some great tunes during the late 90's on old Bunny Lee riddims, which were never released...
And here's a special little "unplugged" Stone version...

Anbessa; On what label was it released? Loved this version. Prince Alla even sounds good on a rub-a-dub context.

Yes the repress i have is on freedom sound but the written title is "RUFRUF WAY A HEAD" so it should be the same. On cd the exact title is "RUFF WAY AHEAD"
So...

Kalcidis :
To Prince's knowledge, this cut was never released. He told me it belongs to a bunch of tunes produced by a Greenwich Town man who left for the US shortly after, and completely left the music business and therefore never released them. Prince could eventually get the tapes back some years ago.
