Just guessing as I don't think I have the track, but how about the Joe Gibbs produced **["Hypocrite"](http://www.roots-archives.com/release/5 ... light=6399)** by the Heptones?

I thought that must be the case. Wishful thinking on my part due to the Joe Gibbs link.DonDigital wrote:nooo the heptone tune has nothing to do with the wailers version, it is based on a diffrent melody, wikkid sameway but totally diff cut, i have the heptones version.
It sounds like a vocal trio to me.DonDigital wrote:johnny clarke is what i also think but how come such a big chune never come out big? i only see miller over the years

I recognized this lyric from Bob Marley's song "Top Rankin" as well:OrthodoxReuBen wrote:chapmanra wrote :Well, I'm actually interested in what the theme of the song is about...who is John and who did he see coming????
The John in the song is John Of Patmos, the author of the Book of Revelation in the Holy Scriptures..."And he saw the Angels pouring out the wrath of JAH"~~~
...Tony Roots also uses the lyrics in his song (See Dem a Come)
Chapter a day to keep the devils away~~~~
