Musical Ambassador Productions operates the Musical Ambassador Label (since 1979).We have been reissuing materials from the fine catalog owned by Negus Roots, operating out of London by the Palmer brothers, Robert and Michael. Our principal distributor is Ernie B's Reggae. He is the one who was instrumental in re-issuing the materials we've released so far. Suffering Showcase and Harvest Time albums are ready to go, but no release date has been set as yet.Our company is getting ready to release a collection of all the songs produced by myself, Trevor Elliott, featuring Mr. Culture himself, Edi Fitzroy. Hits from Check for You Once to Princess black are included in this package. Stellar musicians featured are of course Roots Radics, Sly, Robbie and his crew. This is available digitally through CD Baby and I Tunes.
I hope this satisfies your query, fell free to get in touch any time. I also run an Internet Station www.foundationsound.co.uk, featuring roots and culture.

Hi Trevor

Thank you for the feedback. Excellent news all around.

I asked Ernie yesterday the question put forward by I-Defenda earlier in this thread "Is the original mix of the album going to be re-released, or is Gussie P going to mix the album?" and he said he wasn't sure yet.

I must admit I have the original of this and would be buying the reissue so that I can give that original a bit of a rest!
Hence I would looking for this release to be a reissue of the original and definitely not a remix.

Pretty sure there are a lot of people on this forum who would share this view.

Hey Bonga & Trevor Elliott,

if you are going to scroll down the page on negusrootsrecords.com you will find: 'These albums are being remixed by Gussie P. at Kalabash Studios London'...How does it amount to? Admittedly I'm
not a fan of 'remixed' reissues, yes I don't even like some
'remastered' stuff.

I'm almost sure that 6anbatte - who started this thread, was asking
for a reissue of the the original 'Suffering' which came out on 'Negus Roots' & not something like it. I'm also sure, most of the folks who are looking after this album don't want to have a recently remixed 'skanked' plagiarism...

Who is enlightening the 'remix procedure'?
