I am another who has completely abandoned any type of tone or eq control. I have on/off, input selection and volume control, that's all. `````seb, one of this site's founders, once said this is the way all music should be played. He compared it to a painting, would you put some kind of filter over a Van Gough if you thought it was too blue?

So nowadays I am taking it just as it was when it was recorded, or at least as near to that original sound as my hi-fi budget will get me!
