Cocoa Tea's latest release off VP records is not bad. There are a couple average songs and a couple real gems. Definitely worth buying!

RAS RECORDS is a label not the title of the album...not sure what album you mean. maybe its "Ras Portraits", a compilation that includes the song you mention.

i like some of his xterminator stuff for a modern sound, i think rough inna town is a great track. of course his junjo stuff is killer but dont overlook tunes like rikers island (as mentioned, esp the 12") israel king (12" single mix is the one i like), good life and a lot of songs here and there. theres a "greatest hits" sort of compilation with a track called criminality on the uhuru solidarity riddim thats a slayer. great lyrics and delivery over a tuff riddim. i think this was an xterminator release as well.

his albums have been a bit hit and miss for me but there are killer songs in there. i met him one time at a festival i am involved with and he is about the coolest brethren i have ever met. i had read he raises race horses in miami so i brought that up and he really opened up about it. nice cat. then he put on one hella stage show; if you get the chance check him out.

the recent compilation on VP, the sweet sound of cocoa tea, looks pretty crucial for a career spanning compilation.

oh and the hitbound showdown vol 8 featuring him and frankie paul is very nice as well

one love

Lots of good tunes cited so far. Thought I'd throw this in to the mix:

Babylon Get Rude - Riker's Island lp
