Interestingly (possibly :)) the *bonus* tracks on Grant Green's **["Idle Moments"](http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=29913)** are the tracks that would have been on the original album if it hadn't been for the *limitations* of vinyl. Shorter versions of 2 of tracks were made a week or so later to enable all of the tracks to fit onto the album.
Consequently, these bonus tracks are an absolute must-haves. :D

Apologies is that doesn't relate to reggae, but I do tell the tale as it completely changed my view regarding bonus tracks.

On a reggae front I find that some are outstanding, some good and some poor. Funnily enough I don't play the latter! ;)

I do, however, hold the opinion that the bonus material (if added to the end of a CD) leaves me with a vibe not intended to be left with when the original album was compiled.
If that's a problem, I can just burn a CDR of the original running order for myself.
i'm with stepper on this one! i'm happy to have any reggae that i don't have! but please leave the integrity of the original LP intact, and put pertinent tracks at the end, treating them as BONUS tracks, not filler!

a great example how bonus stuff should be done is trojans ">Presenting I Roy" reissue.

i also don't like bonus tracks which are a) of very dubious quality and b) from a total different (shitty, boring, pointless digital) era.

exactly, informer! great choice, and i'll throw johnny osbourne's "come back darling" into the fray for consideration of one of the best (and most complete!) reissues lately...
