Sir Marvin wrote:Aswad covers are very inspiring, when it comes to tattoes. I have image of lion (from their debut album) on my right arm too)
Cool!! I always wanted to have that kind of tattoo too, or a "Wackies"-lion....
I only have a TrojanRecords-helmet on my right arm...

that's my alltime favorite:
peter tosh 12" "i'm the toughest"
... actually the album art is much better than the song ^^
classic b/w photography grainy, good light, good composition plus a super cool peter tosh (rip)

I have to wonder why the Scientist ...Vampires album is getting rated so highly in every respect - did i miss something? i bought the CD about 12 years ago and i must say I found it weak, not a great offering from Scientist or Junjo (or Linval whatever) or Greensleeves or whoever. Why is this such a big deal these days? New Vinyl reissue?
Very curious about this.
Particularly because i met someone for the first time and when he knew i was a dub producer he immediately mentioned that album.
Not my first dub album to spring to mind...
Any ideas?

I think it's because of the cover; It creates an instant connection with a very popular human tale (vampires) that probably inspires people to like/listen to the album than to much better dub LPs that just say "Dub this" or "Dub that" on the cover; So, net,YES, I agree this Vampire Dub LP is at best a C+...except it's cover!
