The dub to "Bush weed corn trash" by Bunny & Ricky really hits hard when you're stoned. I know it from the Trojan Ganja Reggae box. There's other dub versions to this tune, but the one I encountered on that Trojan box is really heavy sh**

For me its Ras Menelik Congo Harp on the B side of Earth Wind and Fire by Paul Blackman.
I know its a melodica tune, but when I relax on my sofo and play that I seem to visualise myself flying over mountains and valleys in New Zealand or somewhere like that. Its a real strange feeling and I only get it with that tune.

It would have to be the first pice of reggae i heard in that frame --the version to I wish it would go on forever
by Johnny Clarke played on the John Peel Show one night in maybe '76 -true weed beat-ittransformed my listening habits dramatically at the same time increasing Daddy Kools bank balance.

I'm not sure what happened to my post but here was a couple of suggestions I made for some dubs....Dub Landing vol.1 & 2 and any number of Keith Hudson dubs.

Yes, Ras Menelik Congo is one of the the best, as are Bushweed Corntrash... that intro... and that Tribulation dub. Inyaki, I listened to music for twenty years before I imbibed and I know people who have rarely or never done so and love music as much as I do. But given the choice of setting off on an evenings musical entertainment at home with or without it, I'd light up everytime. Hard to describe why without descending into cliche and contradiction... but there you go.

One dub that blow me away is the first track on Scientist wins the world cup
Dub of Johnny Osbourne's Love universal, heavyweight riddim!
That bass bumps and bumps into the room...

@Sir Bellyas.
was only joking!
Same here, after 18 years "dry"...came back to it sometimes for listening purposes ( I wouldn't recommend it personally when mixing in the studio though!)
Still, the old debate. Some well known musicians / engineers don't use it, some do, some overdo it...to each his own.

Twin Roots-"Know Love" Discomix, at the 3:45 when the dub kicks in. It never fails to blow my mind. Peace & Kindness to all.

That Twin Roots tune is indeed perfection! I especially like the climactic bit where Perry drops the music out of the mix to leave only their voices... "If yuh nevah know love a'ready!"

My vote goes for 'Living Dub Vol. II' (original LP) & for
specific tracks - how about 'Bionic Dub' or 'Squash Dub' on
'Bionic Dub'? It's been long, since I got 'weeded' though...
