selecta bing, you should get the first LP by mute beat called STILL ECHO on wackies (you named the second that was released recently), this second has a far better sound, and tunes, imo. A few of them are exactly same.

Mute Beat are/were truly great. I recommend *No. 0 Virgin Dub* (
http://www.discogs.com/Mute-Beat-No-0-V ... ase/889680), side B of which is a stunning live recording taken from a performance in Tokyo, and, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, *Mute Beat Dubwise* (
https://www.reggaerecord.com/en/catalog ... code=64360), which has all kinds of historical significance and crucial connections.
Long live Mute Beat.

Seeing the reference to Jimi Hendrix earlier in the thread, I was listening to a Hendrix CD last night with the track that's got Jim Morrison doing "vocals" ("Uranus Rock") - and what a load of garbage it is! So when your heroes get together it's not always good news...

This album is mentioned as existent in the book called Reggae, Rasta, Revolution: Jamaican Music from Ska to Dub
Unfortunately I don't have the book at the moment with me to check if there are more details, but, I promise you, I'm 100% sure that it is mentioned in there as a genuine album.
I actually came upon your post when I was searching for information on this album in the internet. But nothing's there...
