Always liked "Wreck a Pum Pum" by Yellowman - my favourite 80s DJ, not exactly an original song but his delivery on this one is spot on, rides the rhythm nicely and puts a bit of effort into it...
Next favourite I was thinking of was "Number One on the Look Good Chart" by Capleton but I think that was early 90s.
