On the subject of that album cover, someone I know (who's not into reggae) saw it in my collection and commented that Black Uhuru looked like a 'total rip-off' of the Black Eyed Peas. :D

LATE to the conversation, but better late than never!! I saw Black Uhuru a few times around '84 - '85 here in Boston, and although they were making "grammy winning" sounds, I certainly appreciated the "roots" years more... i could NOT warm up to the syndrums... But here I am several years later and looking for some new sounds and have to put in my 2 cents regarding the Michael Rose records on M with Ryan Moore / Twilight Dub Circus... SO great!!! Really well made, and Mr. Rose sounds in TOP form! I've heard some criticism of the fact that the lyrical content sounds "dated" because it is "mashing down Babylon" - but take a look around - does Babylon still need a good mashing? YES!! Warrior and Warrior Dub really hit it on the head...
