Well the good news are that there's going to be a release of a vocal and a dub LP of Doeman material. I've heard the dub LP and let me tell you it's deeeeep. Something of the deepest dub I've heard.

I got to know Tony and ended up spending a lot of time at his studio in LA in the mid 80's.
A very spiritual man, a very kind, wise man.
I remember staying late in his studio one night after a group of us had rehearsed at I&I (which we did a lot in those days) he had me doing some rhythm guitar for him....man he knew what he wanted from you, it wasn't until that night that I fully realised how specific Jamacian's could be about musical 'feel'.
Had some memorable times with Tony, Barnabus, Frankie, he even had me do 2 tracks of guitar work for Johnny Ringo one afternoon, I was on the ceiling for weeks.
I can still Tony smoking the biggest spliff, drinking ginseng and playing dominoes with his good pal, he would take no notice of the noise we were making when all of a sudden he would jump up and dance when the music hit him.....great, great memories.
R.I.P. Big Man.
Big Love,
Peter
