I just relistened to dub war. Yeah, it's mostly pretty 70's sounding, really. I guess the reason I was thinking 80's is the first two track have a drum pattern that I associate with the 80's. The move away from the one drop and/or steppers to the alternating kick and snare style that became pretty much standard with Style Scott and Roots Radics in the early 80's.
