Try "Freedom Journal" from Ossie Dellimore, album is quite good and should fit your needs for concious music

Sistrens and bredrens,
Let me enlarge a little this discussion.
I must agree with your vision when I don't try to penetrate things and just watch what's happening from the exterior.
Although, my inner feeling is that this materialist extreme you describe is not alone in reality. I think it is echoing the extreme love that is being spread worldwide today.I feel consciousness growing and growing everyday as noone can stop it. It is stronger than rocks, nothing can stop it.
I've always thinked what made people so materialist today was not the love of the material, but the fear of the spirit level that is coming . Cause what was solid is becoming fluid, what seemed not to be moving is now in movement. All traditions, all beliefs, all certitudes are just blown away, cause it was not founded on reality but on tradition, ideas, mental things. So now, relativity is reigning, knowledges are mixing, even science is exceeded by Truth (check out what said Einstein and Bohr).Things and history are accelerating today.
And people are scared of that. They want solid foundations, but they are misled and try to find what they lost in things that appear to be solid. BUt what they shall realize is that these material things are empty. I feel like a complete inversion. But this is a reaction. It's like G-D shaking up everything to help people understand what is Reality; specifically someting they can't catch, something they can't write, nor buy, nor think !

Benjamin makes good points, that people really are by nature searching for meaning and something solid in life.
But the babylon shitstem takes them off in the wrong direction, telling them that they can find happiness in material bling things.
It is heartening to me that this post has drawn concious comment from obviously concious people. It shows that there are people in this harsh world that know the truth and know that that truth is in the spirit, not the material.
Luckily, there's no shortage of concious sounds, the marvelous musicians from JA laid down so much of it in the 70's and 80's that I can propably never completely collect it and also never have time to listen to it!
But it would be so cool if that movement that drove many of us through those hard times was here again, as an anti-bling thing.

Been reading this topic since the day it got posted and indeed it seems that there are ceveral consious minded people in this forum. so why don't we get together and make some concious music?
But beware of anti-thought/-movements,Leggo Rocker, that's negative vibes! Example, the anti-global movement, they fight the babylon system but look how they go about it, they fight back in a babylon fashion, trashing everything that they don't like, looks like they have become what they fight against... the same counts for the hip hop movement, they wanted to get rid of the slave chains and the effects slavery has had on them and now they are slaves to themself and chained to the material world.
I believe that we are spirits in a material body and these days we are loosing grip on our material body because the spirit live is coming up again. Some of us grap our spiritual being and learn to love it others get scared and start hanging on to materials things just to keep a grip. Fear is the most dangerous feeling, that's why white men enslaved the African men, white men feared Africa and the african way of life. The way to control their fear was to chain the black men. I think that this is also the reason that drove Bush to doing what he's doing right now, fear of the moslim world, if the moslim world get's larger then there would be a change in morality, values, religion, political system, ... and that could make the T(P)ower of Babylon fall, controling oil is just a way to excercis power.
Keep trusting in the fact that there is more Go(o)dness then badness and the Go(o)dness shall be the conquerer! He who'm plants a seed shall one have to harvest and the seed of Go(o)dness was planted the moment that our Allmighty Creator created the univers and life in all it's forms.
one love, love yourself and love your neighbours
sure hopes all this makes any sence too you cus i'm a better talker than a writer.
