i don't see any represses that are numbered. that's mostly something in the contemporary UK roots scene, and seems to be something that people who are releasing their own music do...which is different economically from licensing music for reissue and then producing it.

well.. have seen several Japanese re-releases that were numbered..

these days even a 1000 copies of a 45 is hard to sell, so if it is stated 500 pressed it is a marketing trick, but i dont think they press 1000's.

Its more a way to persuade the few vinyl buyers that are still around to buy it quick, because it might run out soon..

lots of japanese repressed arent available anymore just a few months after the release, so the scheme works.

why are these japanese re press so hard to get here in the U.K. ?

Seems strange if these people wana make money maybe they should put the tunes out for everyone to buy not when you try to buy it tune is sold out !!!!!!!

Has any one actually heard Nitty gritty tune turn them back? PLEASE CONFIRM....
