But here the kicking boy seems to come straight out of the head, and for that he symbolizes the kicking thought out of a sharp mind instead of a physical beating. That is why I always loved the cover.

since you put it that way,i mull over the finer details which i don't like and missed the inherent message.my eyes aren't the best when it comes to screens.

Of course I don't know if the painter had the same idea, but that is my interpretation.

Funny, because Nightfall is also picked by someone as an ugly cover because it looks like a Heavy Metal artwork. But I like this painting.

Heh, it *does* look like a heavy metal album cover - but that's not a bad thing. Some metal albums have awesome artwork (take most of Motorhead's for example).
