by the way - you should avoid the CD version of Dillinger/Trinity - Clash. It's so badly mastered that it's virtually unlistenable.

I've never understood why CD-mastering so often fails. I'm not the most technical of people but in a sense it feels like all they should do (if the vinyl was mastered properly) is just a good rip of a clean vinyl. The Clash album isn't that rare so minty vinyls should be abound.

IMO Dillinger was and is by far a superior DJ when you compare the two, both in session and on record. Check out the work he did with Bunny Lee

These tracks have been released on a myriad of LPs over the years, but they are some of his best. His "Ready Natty Dready" set for Studio One is also a great set.
exactly what i was gonna say, and i was gonna suggest that album except for the fact that the cd version (or at least the one i have, paid like 2 quid or something for it) is terrible quality. i personally think the songs he did for bunny lee, that repeat themselves constantly on different albums, are better, darker, harder, than cb 200.
cb 200 and bionic dread are on one cd now and theyre both wellll good, and theres a trojan comp called cocaine in my brain which is quality too. i imagine, after those, theres not a whole lot left...

It's funny how tastes vary. I found this to be a big disappointment when it came out, an attempt at commerciality to keep riding the "funky vibe" of his hit "Cocaine". IMO it's much weaker than his other output, but to each his own. He is wearing a nice track suit on the cover though.

I can see your point perhaps its is becuase it was recorded at Joe Giibs, engineered by Errol T and i think mixed by jammy, though the sleeve say jammie.it remind me of Trinity 3 piece suit.i like the singing tracks but love the underlying music, i think "Page One Rock-A-Dub" has most of the dubs to accompany it.
I personally am not to keen on his Bunny lee stuff, well a lot of it but i think it may be to much Johhny clarke etc and familiar rythmms.....i must admit i am fairly new to hearing cornbread and maybe the instant comercialism may wear off.

There is - but you'd be buying a lot of songs you already own on something else in order to get it...

What's his more recent (90s/00s) stuff like, as a matter of interest? Anyone know? No-one ever seems to talk about, or review it.
