Which is the dub of Long Way? Is it Longer Dub? Because that is indeed wicked.
Yea I figured it was. I've just jumped from the dub to the version of ‘long way’ that I have on a Byles compilation "curly locks" and I'm pretty sure it’s the dub of that although the info on the MP3 download is null. Longer dub is a really killer tune form Scratch, its so dark.

Ok, my Marley knowledge is kind of embarrassingly weak, will seek out Rainbow Country. What about the Silvertones track? Rejoice Jah Jah Children? I know that rhythm from a DJ version. It's probably painfully obvious but I can't place it at the moment. Eithe Jah Lloyd or Jazzbo maybe?
But this is my album of the year so far

That's Jah Lloyd (Jah Lion) - Columbia Collie.

Strong Drink obviously is bogus. Just another perry track with melodica added. Just listen to "Teacher's Dub" and you'll notice its the same track as Strong Drink but without the melodica by some Pablo mimicker.

I'm not an expert on Augustus Pablo, I must admit. But this album is supposed to hold dubplates, if I'm not mistaken.
And athough it does sound like the melodica is added later it might still be Augustus Pablo. Who To Tell ?!
It is, as you pointed out, the same (Teacher's) Dub as on the Wildflower release.

It also doesn't claim to be Pablo, unless there are some liner notes somewhere claiming that. But the tracklist just says 'melodica version' not 'pablo is playing the melodica on this dubplate version'

there are some really great tracks on this cd, but also a lot of crap, e.g. the dub to natural mystic or the mentioned melodica version, where the melodica playing has nothing to do with the backing melody.
for me the opening track and the super dub to "Long way" save this release from being mediocre.
maybe i've heard too much black ark stuff, it doesn't impress me too much nowadays.

I had no idea that this was even released. I'm thrilled to hear about it and must get it immediately. Many thanks, flashman, for bringing it to attention and to Mick for reviewing the album. Rasta Live!
