It saddens me to see 'batty' talk on this forum - to my mind, homophobia is Babylon same as other prejudices (racism, sexism) which we can see in the fact that the vast majority of national governments still refuse to grant gay people equal rights. The Vatican isn't exactly known for being friendly to homosexuality...

If there's anything that's a corruption or manipulation of the Bible or the 'word of god', in my opinion, it's anything which teaches us to hate, oppress or exclude someone because of something, part of their identity, that causes no harm (just like race or gender).

One of the things I've really appreciated about RA forums is that there hasn't been the same homophobia that is so often rife on other reggae forums.

To get back OT...

@sean, to my mind there is spirituality without vegetarianism, and vegetarianism without spirituality.

Personally, myself and probably most other vegos/vegans I know, are so because we don't support cruelty to animals, and/or we don't believe that animals are inferior to humans and thus it's not OK to kill and eat them when it's unnecessary for human survival (some people, of course, are also vego entirely for health reasons or just because they don't like the taste of meat). But this is not to say that I disrespect vegetarianism for spiritual/religious reasons, by any means - in fact I'm glad of its existence in the world. Just another perspective...

When I became a vegetarian I was 18 yrs old and lived ina small german town not too far from holland.
The local supermarkets got their meat from dutch farmers. One day, during lunch I discovered rediculous things in the meat. Same happend to some friends. Spoilt meat, not even good for dog food...
To protect myself I decided for vegetarian food. Didn´t eat fisch for a long time but eat some today.
I don´t miss meat or chicken at all. I don´t support a cruel industry. Remember the pain and panic of the animals when they´re killed.
In face of death pigs produce kind of adrenaline which stays in the meat....amd man eats it. As well as the fear-of-death ernergies as well.

I didn´t miss meat one single day.
