been listening to a 3cd dub rarities collection of discs by trojan..a few decent tracks none outstanding and several real dull ones too. reminds me of the greensleeves catalogue i used to get by post quarterly 15 years or so ago which was very honest about the quality of the records on sale by themselves ie it often said "a very average" or "very weak" set of dubs..wheres the refreshing honesty these days? gone!!!not the worst discs ive heard but heavy going i would say

Avoid all dub-albums released by [The Jamaican Recordings label.](http://www.jamaicanrecordings.com/jr_homepage.htm)
They promise you long lost dubs from the seventies by King Tubby *et al*, but in reality these are crap modern mixes of vintage rhythms.

well...thanks for that..the don carlos album..the site info on that seems to show its just rehashing of old don carlos dub mixes, eg dub to ababa john I and spread out, etc..why/why do we need a rehash of old albums you can get for a fiver in any open air market?..king jammys dub exposion is mega good dub though..i must say..byeee..sean

no turnersmemo. The album "Horace Andy Dub Box Set" is really great and the mixes cant be bought anywhere else.

Well, that might be, but these are not "rare dubs from 1973-1976", instead they are modern remixes.

Anyway, you can read more about this label here: http://www.bloodandfire.co.uk/db/viewto ... recordings.
