So true, BBJ knows of what he speaks! "Out Of Many, One People" is the slogan of Jamaica, but it seems lost on many here when you look at this thread. General Pud Pud, UB 40 has done more for Jamaican artists getting proper credit and royalties for their compositions than just about anyone. Please check with the artists who have benefited from UB40 covering their songs before you burn anyone.

I think that UB40 mostly suck (apart from the first album and maybe the second, I guess) but I don't recall them ever pretending to be Jamaican.

Though weren't some of them actually Jamaican (or at least Caribbean) anyway?

@ mr general: imo it is kinda racist to use terms like 'peckerwood' and 'honky'.
