flashman wrote:Also, I'm out of my depth here and going from memory, but are these really all Bunny Lee? Isn't Grogory Isaacs Slave Master a Niney production (Golden Rule Dub- I know it's a different vocal here but same riddim). And Dub Is Everything sounds an awful lot like a Joe Gibbs/ET production to my ears. But really, I don't have that much faith in my ears.
lester wrote:Who is the vocalist on "Golden Rule Dub"? The King Spinna blurb says it's from '75. Can't find a matching B. Lee cut from that time....sounds more like J. Clarke than C. Campbell to my ears, but I'm in the same boat as flashman as far as that goes!
Bunny Lee- "Niney did make this riddim, at Channel One. I take a cut from Niney and put Johnny Clarke 'pon it. Same set of musicians, but George Fullwood play the bass"".

I agree on that one, Hip Hip Hooray, its great to hear Derrick Morgan in a later more roots style.

He made some good music in this period but it really has been overlooked in favour of his Ska/Rocksteady period.

I made some "fake discomixes" combining tracks from both albums here:

Every body making disco mixes, whilst I have systematically gone through my whole media library and split all the disco mixes back into songs and dubs, I can't stand the disco mix format.... once again I'm out on my own : )
