Good album, a definite one to have in ones collection, but the Bahamas team over produced it (don't know why my previous comment on this topic got erased; Am just voicing a personal POV).

It is a bit over produced agreed, though not as bad as their ICE on Fire album, and not so much as to spoil it for me. Weren't Virgin trying to make Mighty Diamonds break in USA hence trying to make them sound more Black American than Black Jamaican? (A big mistake in my mind)
I got planet Mars off of Amazon mp3 a good few years ago now, I never understood why Virgin didn't release Planet Earth

Yes! How has that brilliant album not been reissued yet?

Virgin were part of EMI and are now part of Universal, the same label that Hot Milk licensed Keith Hudson from so I'd assume all the Virgin catalogue is available to them, although there are only 4 or 5 Frontline albums that EMI failed to issue and things like Vivian Weathers wouldn't do well anyway.
I notice MellowMan says these were sourced from the master tapes, I guess the fact my question about the Keith Hudson source was never answered confirms it was dubbed from vinyl.

I know that there were two Jah Lloyd/Lion Frontline albums that were never reissued on CD. I don't know how good they were though.

Two other groups i'd love to see reissued (as there has been nothing available of theirs for at least the last 10 years or more!)
The Viceroys - Brethrin & Sistren
The Morwells ????
cheers

This is good news - I've always liked both of these albums.

Yup - Viceroys. The only thing that has their name on it that's still in print isn't even them singing...

More questions for you, is the cd going to be double price as its a double album or is it going to be the same price as torch of freedom?
Are the vocals and dubs separate tracks or have they been mixed into fake disco mixes?
Thanks
Hey Congo, the CD won't be double the price, we've kept the dealer price the same as "Torch Of Freedom", so you'll be getting plenty more music for the same price.
The vocals and dubs are not mixed together (this would have been a nightmare as we wouldn't have received permission from the rights holders to do it anyway), however I don't think this takes away from the listening enjoyment, it gives you a couple of seconds to breathe in and enjoy the next song.
