I enjoy every facet of Jamaican music up to 83-84. Just don't think Coxsone had as active a part in production as some of the other great producers. If you want to give kudos to Stduio 1 production, I'd lay it on Jackie Mittoo and Leroy.

Mine is:

Eric "Fish" Clarke on drums
Errol "Flabba" Holt on bass
Tony Chinn on rhythm guitar
and Doctor Pablo on keyboards and melodica

Seems I love the old steppers riddims played by Creation Rebel or the Arabs .....

hi specially to jah rumble and bellyman
the undivide used to back rico rodriguez in the 60's and some other bri-based acts before they all join separately bands as matumbi(jah bunny donaldson on drums)cimarons(loocksley guitchie on lead guitar)and another one whose name i forget at present who joinde merger, along with island session trumpeter satch dixon, before they joined together i think to produce this lp you are talking about in 1985 .the band at first was the brainchild of singer gene rondo and including also bassist floydie lawson on bass.they back the likes of gene rondo, alton ellis, visiting maytalls.the band disbanded in the early 70's,with individual playing the club circuit before they were approached by singer gene rondo again to release an lp on decca called"listen to the world"they had individually stints with the group aforementioned before they joined together again through the impulse of saxman rudy himes to release this lp on island called"the original undivided:the undivided".there is a nice rendition of rico's"this day".indeed the latter lp is semi digital but there are 3 tracks that really drive me crazy.
the lp"listen to the world"features rico rodriguez on trombone
