No reggae without jazz,as this was where Mr.Dodd came from. Most have been mentioned, but Monty Alexander is missing,he s done some great stuff through the years. Also Big Up to Bobby Ellis,Carl Bryan,Vin Gordon,Count Ossie(Rooting da Jazz),Boris Gardiner(Yes,check out Melting Pot and Breezing)as well as Carlos Malcolm. The compilation Blow Mr.Hornsman on Trojan,Mr.Dodds special project Reggae au go Jazz, earlier Jazz Jamaica as well as other groups like Rotterdam Ska-Jazz Foundation and New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble. Also check out Alberto Tarin from Spain.Last but not least nuff respect to my instrumental kings Ernest Ranglin,Jacky Mittoo,Cedric Brooks and the one and only Rico! Grab anything you can find on Water Lilly label. Greentings Kwaz
