Tricky thing about selling through this site is that you'd have to deal with inventory if you're doing it yourself, or some serious coding if you're doing a sort of ebay model where other sellers sell and you get a cut.
I for one appreciate the straightforward beauty of the site and minimalist design. If it gets too commercial, I thing it would be distracting. But, these guys seem to have a good sense of where they're going. Its all about the content...

You dont need inventory, the sellers provide it all,it could be part of the already present buy/sell/trade/ tab.imho r.a has people that are very involved in all this and are missing out on a opporunity.Yes there is some computer knowledge involved to get it going, thats an easy hurdle to overcome.
Just my opinion,no charge.Get wealthy,healthy.

Copy the Gemm model of selling/buying.Click on the buy/sell/trade tab here in RA and voila up pops articles for sale at a set price.Gemm commision is 3% i think.

Yeh why not setup a roots archives auction taking a percentage on all final sales, it would be worth paying someone to design the software but i'm sure there are already software u can buy for this.
Another alternative, u can put a small link to amazon.com on this website, everyone who goes to amazon and buys any product either from amazon itself or one of there 3rd party sellers, a percentage of the sale goes back to roots archives, it;s only a small percentage but i guess the amount of people who regularly shop at amazon who vists this site would bring in enough money to keep your costs to zero. you could make all members awhere of this amazon link via a email, then all loyal roots archivers will use your link to shop via amazon rather than typing in the amzon url they just clik your link. Either way u have nothing to loose with this except have a small link on your site!
The other way is to just have a couple of just one advert on the site, i'm guess one advert alone will pay your bills. People will pay up to 5p per click on there link sometimes more. Seriously theres lots of money u can rake in with a few ads at the bottom of the screen, and they can be reggae related ads.
Good luck with it, i support any plans u make....

The XL shirts are not actually that XL. Mine fits nicely even though I am a relatively slim 6 footer, but then I don't really like tight T-shirts - unless worn by women

And here we have a testimony by a customer who ordered the RA T-Shirt some days ago :
"I'm very happy with my RA T-shirt, since I bought the RA T-shirt, my life has changed, as an example, I went out to a concert wearing my R-A T-Shirt and all the girls jumped on me as if I was a living god so ORDER NOW for only a few bucks you can have it and you'll be the best dressed chicken in town !"
Seriously, I just got my t-shirt today, beautiful artwork and good quality, then went out to an Horace Andy gig tonight and saw another man wearing it too. So hi to this tall guy, hope you enjoyed the concert !
