The one that got away,,,,,,,,,

I lived in Japan 88~2000 and started collecting 7s for the picture sleeves,
I would get most for 300 yen and the most I would pay would be 1000 yen,
so one day when I picked up a PINK FLOYD 7" for 3000 yen I thought "too much"
so put it back in the rack

well a week later i saw it in RECORD COLLECTOR for 500 POUNDS!!!!!!

Now it is going for about 1300 pounds

but I did get a few for 300 yen that are worth about $200 ~ 300 U.S today

Funny how some people think 200 bucks is too much for a record. But yet so many people spend so much on drugs, booze, junk food, cars etc. So why shouldn't rare records be worth good money?

Even though I spend a lot on reggae I know people who spend more on stuff that won't be around the next day, let alone the next decade.

And a few years ago I bought a new car and lost thousands in repayments and depreceation in just two years. So I sold it and bought a cheap old Toyota Corolla and LOADS of records... Now I know I would definately rather have the vinyl than a flashy car. Both would be cool but as I have to choose, the reggae gets all the budget now.
