Hi sdaztecryan, nice picks, but what's a 'throwback' LP?
How is the Ras Imru Asha LP? I only have his 'Tribute To Selassie I' which is very good.
Flashman, Struggle has some beautiful tracks. Bright Soul was also issued on 12" w/ Falling Angel Version on the B side.
Does the Little John LP have any extended mixes?
Lovely score!
I just ordered the new Lloyd Parks CD from PS.
Currently waiting on a Discogs order to arrive
-I Roy - Rocka Macka/I Roy's Joy - Hot Disc 12"
-Carlton Patterson/I Roy - Wash Wash/Dog War - Black & White 12"
-Roots Of the Field - Selassie I - ROTF Records Inc 7"
cheers

JJ, throwback is part of the title. I believe it is because they are trying to go back to the Augustus Pablo sound from his rockers international label.
The Ras Imru Asha LP is very good is you like the modern UK sound. I would also recommend his "Spiritual Warrior" LP on the Reggae on Top label from the late 90's/early 2000's.

It's showcase style but the dubs are separate tracks, not extended mixes (unfortunately).
I'm going to look into the Bright Soul 12", one of his best ever tunes, I think.
EDIT: oops, actually that Little John is extended mixes; I was thinking of the Robert French/Anthony Johnson one.

I, right. I actually have that! ha ha. I can't check at the moment. Is the dub on that too? Or just the extended A-side?

Extended A side only, doesn't include the dub B side

Thanks, I must say those 2 Dub Store Bunny Wailer comps have been one of the top reggae highlights of the year!

We can live in hope that perhaps dub store could one day issue a couple of volumes of a Solomonic 12" disco selection to include the full version B sides as I also really like the 12"s of "Riding", "Collie Man" and "Rise & Shine" too

This morning I bought a copy of the Virgo Stomach CD issue of Lion Youth "Love Comes And Goes" album for £6.00. I had this on LP many years ago and have always rated it as one of the best UK reggae albums ever. The CD also adds "Rat A Cut Bottle" with DJ version and "Three Million On The Dole" plus 2 unlisted dubs of "Rat A Cut..." and "Three Million..." to the original 10 tracks. To find this on CD, for me, is just the perfect end to the year
