Leggo - the riff on that D. Isaacs is originally from Soul Serenade by Willie Mitchell. Recorded in Memphis, one of the first tracks with the Hi-Rhythm section, Teenie Hodges on guitar.

The whole of the Express 12 is nice still.

There was also an early reggae cut of Soul Serenade credited to 'Ernie' Ranglin.

The solo i most like is the one in 'The Wailers - Concrete Jungle'. One of the best songs of all genres for me.

I dont like the Carl Harvey's LP specially, but one good solo from him is on Willi Williams - Messenger Man.

Ernest Ranglin is a top ranking player. I always love his style. He recorded some records (Jazz) with Monty Alexander for the German MPS label. 1rst class musicians recorded high end, carefully mastered on nice thick vinyl. Nuff nuff enjoyment!

A phenomenal solo is on I Jahmans album "Live Over Europe" on the Jah Heavy Load tune.

Play on!

Forever and always this is the most moodiest and greatest guitar line ever played by Ernest Ranglin. Wrapping all around the song including that BIG solo. It simply makes the whole song. On top of that it's the Wailers. Essential!

One of my favourites is ´Bingo Kid´ by Chinna Smith (& the Upsetters).
Weird and great!

My award goes to the classy and musical riffs on BM&TW's Roots Rock Reggae, at the "Play I on the R&B..." section.
Not intrusive, not in spite of the song, just tasteful.
Such a perfect tone, too.
The nice little outro solos are great, too.

That track also gets my nod for the perfect skank sound.
The tone(s) and mix of the guitar and piano together is magical. It becomes a whole different instrument when it's right like that.

...geniusly played/recorded/mixed drum track, too!
