RIP Lucky

I am at work right now and getting this news and I could just cry. How can you kill a man for a f!@#$%^ car? Wow you know when someone lives a bad man lifestyle death like this is just inevitable. But such an upful man like Lucky Dube to be killed like a dog in front of his own son makes me mad mad. I sure would like to square off with the a@#holes who did this.

No one escapes their judgment, including cold blooded gun men.

A very very sad news for sure...
He was a great singer with wonderful melodies and definitively a style of his own.
There is really too much violence in this world.
May Lucky Dube's son be preserved through this terrible experience.

This was an assassination. No gangster in JoBurg gonna kill Lucky Dube for his car. He was a hero to every last one a dem. I suspect pro-apartheid forces, or other elements opposed to RSA's World Cup bid, trying to draw attention to crime in RSA by this public outrage. May the mighty spirit of Lucky Dube never grant his killers a moment's rest. Amen.

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa: Police said Sunday they have arrested five men in connection with the killing of reggae star Lucky Dube, who was gunned down in an apparent carjacking attempt last Thursday.

Police spokesman Eugene Opperman said the men were arrested Sunday morning and will appear in the Johannesburg magistrates court on Tuesday.

He said police seized two stolen handguns and a car allegedly used during the crime.

Dube, who launched his career with criticism of the apartheid regime, was killed after he dropped two of his teenage sons at his brother's Johannesburg house.

Got the same feeling about this when Diana died 10 years ago!!! Even if you don`t get his message, as a black man/woman!
Nobody in his/her real mind would have look Lucky in his eyes and shoot him for a car!!!
Why are we blacks killing eachother??? Looks/feels like a curse!!!

LUCKY, MINA MI YAA BUTANDA !!! ( during your last show you taught us, Surinames, to sing along with you ... I LOVE...in Zulu- language and the day before told the Guyanese you were going home to Suriname... So I consider you as a brother and country- man they killed/slained! It`s the same lost we, people from Surinam(e), are feeling with the South- Africans!!!
