Hey AnorakTrev

Bogus tracks thats dissapointing because i really thought that i was picking up a Lee Perry classic.

Anyway it`s a good album especially Track 3 and 4 great tunes.

Greetings,
Megaton Dub 2 is probably the best dub album in existance, IMHO.

Praises,

Also grab The Upsetter Compact Set on Trojan, essential early Scratch with Africa's Blood, Rhythm Shower and Double Seven rolled into one

Dub On!

Quick question on Megaton Dub 1 & 2....how rare are they? I was doing a quick search and I couldn't find them at my local haunts.

Not rare at all. Always on ebay. Never fetch a lot of money either.

I'm pretty sure both have been repressed down the ages also.

Dub On!
Only *Double Seven* is really essential IMO. Africa's Blood is pretty weak.

@bullit

Pretty sure that *Black Ark in Dub* is (in part) bogus.

Two really good collections that belie the cheesy cover art.

Excaliburman
[cover=3834,269]
Rastafari Liveth in the Heart of Everyone Itinually
[cover=232,258]

These two just look like they've got to be bogus. Actually, they're two of the very dreadest compiliations imaginable. Not the type of thing you'd expect from a record company, more like excellent mix tapes given to you by a friend.

Speaking of cheesy cover art. Hand-on-heart, this is my favorite Perry compilation.
[cover=1667,1951]
Not Black Ark stuff, but absolutely brillant.

Quote again from " Super Scratch-The Almost Complete Album Discography "..."This album suffers from the fact that the recording of various synth-overdubs was not supervised by Lee Perry.Rather than getting prime Black Ark dubs..these are mostly out-takes or backing tracks that have been over-dubbed at a later date...".
But ,that is not to say there isn`t a good selection of tunes on the album!Lacksley Castell and George Faith to name a couple of the vocalists.
