Although I think they would have obviously released more good music if they had lived longer, I think Bob, Jacob Miller, Dennis Brown, King Tubby, and Augustus Pablo had all passed their primes. (Maybe Dennis would have the most left out of these.) I love all these guys very much, but I have to be realistic. Even though I think Peter Tosh was past his prime too, I think it would have been very interesting to see where his career would have gone.

On the other hand, I think Garnett Silk, Lacksley Castell, Hugh Mundell, Nitty Gritty, and Tenor Saw had the most that was left unaccomplished. Out of these, I miss Garnett the most.

Just remembered a couple more... How about Dirtsman and Panhead? I like the output these guys had before they died.

Also, I REALLY would have liked to see Jackie Opel make it into the roots era- quite a good singer.

I wish the singer with my favorite voice of all was still alive...Freddy McKay. Whenever I put on Rendezvous or Love Is A Treasure I can't believe the style. Freddy was truly a reggae great, IMO.
