Just to get the record absolutely straight on this matter...

Moderator / Reviewer disclosure:

I have written several reviews. I didn't get any copies of anything to do the reviews from. I used my own originals and then checked the sound files provided by the website owner, Seb, to make an opinion, where possible, of the sound quality of the new release.

I have subsequently been sent two CD re-issues of reviews I did from my own vinyl. They are still sealed on my shelf as I had already reviewed them and rarely play CDs anyway.

Considering how much stuff I wrote, I would expect a commercial return of around $2,000 if I was writing for a newspaper or magazine (I am a professional writer by day).

So two CDs is a pretty poor wage.

I wrote the reviews to help the site. Not myself.

As for upsetting moderators, as far as I am concerned you can say absolutely anything you want about us, as long as it isn't un-necessarily rude and as long as you don't make it the sole reason for being here on the forum - an obsession!
