Micron or Grounation?
Yes, I was hoping to upload some toones to show everyone what incredibly good taste I have!!
I never received a password though so couldn't activate it. Would that be because I have a hotmail account? I'll happily sign up again under a different username and with another email address, unless you can PM me it. Just let me know.

Check your spam box. You should have an activation mail there somewhere.
Didn't you choose your own password?
I approved your account earlier today, or maybe late last night, so it should work.
I set the site to 'manually approve new members' so as to avoid some of the problems I've had here with unwelcome guests...
I'll check on it and come back to you in a PM.
Joe Higgs on Grounation
Sorry to admit this but that's one of the reasons I bought it, as I am trying to complete my set of these releases. Fat chance as some of them are very hard to find / mega expensive.
Dance Inna Greenwich Farm and especially Horny Dub for instance..

maybe you're missing a big point on this value thing guys if i may
the condition
a vg / vg+ tune can't worth the same as a EX+ one
well for me a cracky tune is useless and can also go for crazy prices
on another way pricing is really subjective
a 100 usd tune can be crazy for some and a bargain for others...
it depends how much the buyer want the tune / the condition / overall known rarity of the item
and every factor a buyer or a seller want to put in perspective

Absolutely agree with the condition thing.
I have tried hard lately to ONLY buy EX or NR Mint stuff. I try hard to resist stuff that's VG etc, even if I REALLY want the tune.
It's usually well worth the wait.

The Rare Record Price Guide gives prices assuming mint condition. I do find it really helpful even if it is just to get some sort of ball park figure.
Condition is obviously a big issue. Even the condition of the cover is an issue for me. I saw something I wanted the other day, but the cover was a disgrace so I didn't buy it. Ultimately I know a better version will turn up........someday.

I agree about cover condition.
Although I'm softening somewhat on label graffiti, although only with 12 inch Discos.
I still would NEVER write on a label or cover myself, but I will now part with money for a 12 inch with WOL (writing on label) as long as the vinyl is EX.
But, generally, WOL so often means the vinyl is at VG or worse because WOL is usually sound man markings and sound man vinyl gets a rough ride.

Yeah man there is really no way of figuring out the value of tunes these days. most of the tunes on Ernie B's & Deadly Dragon are set high due the NYC cost of living. Also those guys base all of there prices on how rare of an item is to them. I personally sell stuff on Reagaeauction.com and base my sales and pricing around the stuff that sells on there more than Ebay. I also base my prices on rareness as well and also how much it is sot after. For instance that single by Frankie wilmott- I won't give up on music house, this is digital fire and alot of people are searching for this and a person who knows this can get like $150.00 or more for it while another person may just have it and not know the market and sell it for $10.00.
So,I guess the best way to price reggae is to do a little research on the sellers end and then go with what your heart tells you... So take it & discuss it..
I hoped this helped, maximum respect everytime..........

Ernie B's is based in California... not that CA is much cheaper than NYC.
