@ Jason allen. hi jase, as regards the nitty gritty and supercat question. i read that nitty gritty drew his gun first, it jammed, and supercat shot him in self defence. i had just met nitty gritty a little while before at a mighty diamonds gig in london. didnt seem like a man who would carry a gun, let alone try to shoot someone down. that was 1989, he had just joined the diamonds on stage for a song, and by the reaction of the crowd he was well loved. what a waste.

I heard that supercat murdered nitty gritty inside of a record store on church ave bklyn (won't say the name of the record store) because nitty was shooting at him first so he actually was defending himself.

been years since i heard the death of nitty gritty.
from what i remember when him drop out, was that it all root from super cat likkle brother junior cat, who cut a tune with sluggy call "draw fi mi bible" off a the Jah Life label out in new york. well super cat went to go speak for him brother and try to collect that money from sluggy at super power record store out a new york. nitty gritty was trying to sekkle the dispute for him breddah sluggy. super cat see that sluggy drew him gun first, cat come fe draw him gun, cat in fear of him life, his gun lick out first, aimed for sluggy, but end up killing nitty gritty instead.
