I disagree with Eek's statements; Looking at this setlist, AFTER Lee Perry, he was the biggest name at this festival. I haven't heard of anyone else on this list. I don't know about the money side of things, and which performers are the richest, but I think, as someone earlier mentioned, it is 'sour grapes' on eeks part.

No, Matisyahu is far from being big. His music is boring... But it's still beter than Mouse's music in last few decades...

Well, if you haven't heard about Midnite, Groundation or Joseph Israel, the you should do something with it:)

maybe eek a mouse was pissed off because of matisyahu. cos the music business spent big money for his promotion, videos etc. it's reasonable to think that matisyahu is bigger in ny city than in other cities...

anyway matisyahu's music sucks at least as much as his lyrics

Back to the mouse, I think he is angry that he is a u-neek, one-of-a-kind artist and he gets no attention from the mainstream. But this is to be expected, all the mainstream wants is more of the same, mediocre music. They want what is popular NOW, once thats out of fashion, onto the next thing.
When Jr.Gong's Jamrock came out, I thought for sure the next single after the title track would be "Khaki Suit" with eek and bounty killa. Killer song, one of my favourite tracks! But the suits don't want 'different', and they don't want classic Jamaicain artists, they want to release that fake danchall rap track featuring NAS.

Eeks beef with the industry isn't over race; they fail to promote unique and interesting music industry-wide, regardless of race.

Im sure that this issue got much to do with acttittud.I bet the artist in the show have lots of respect for him and he is thinking in others things like money.Where is the spirit and good will that his generation spread?This man is getting old and grumpy
