I never meant imply that you can't do all of the same geek stuff in OS X, but the huge difference is doing so by choice instead of necessity!
Indeed I love the linux system, been put off it in the past although i have a few certificates in usage of it by hardware issues, but probably time for another go when i get the free time.
I wont be going osx but a dual boot with linux migh resurface
