Well, well, well. After ordering Volume 1 and being completely blown away by it I have ordered (and just taken delivery of) the other 3 volumes. So thank you for the heads-up, Dave, as I would never have bought these.
I am intrigued to know how people listen to these albums. Do you listen all the way through or play the tracks you like or play them on random? In case, anyone is interested I've burned 2 discs from the original discs.
Fave track so far - "Can't Cross The Border" - Sugar Minott. Absolutely incredible. I just cannot get enough of that!
Needless to say I now have to have **["Buy Off The Bar"](
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/1 ... ight=18263)**!
Ah, just see the reissue is readily available. Result!

Simon, when have I ever sold you a dud ?
I knew you would like them, you should have bought all four when I told you too.
I am quiet upset that you questioned my judgement

Oh Simon
How do people listen to these? "LOUD"
I have played them in sequence and on random selection and they sound just as good either way.
The random is like being inna dance as you dont know what its gonna throw up next.
On other note, many, if not most of the tracks, are available on albums. So I would pick up the albums too. You cannot go wrong with these Power House releases.
Also do a search on George Phang" as he has productions that are not on the PowerHouse label.

LOL. Apologies for doubting you.

Definitely, can't play them in sequence though. That is just too much for me.
Funnily enough I picked up **["Buy Off The Bar"](
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/1 ... ight=18263)** from Sounds Of The Universe yesterday. Absolute scorcher. (tu)

Do you actually do any work between trips to all these different record shops.
Also, can I come and work for you as I desperately need to add to my music collection

LOL. Amusingly, there is an advertising agency I deal with who are just around the corner from SOTU, Revival Records and Sister Ray. Needless to say I have to go and see them at least 3 times a week! They need a lot of *hand holding*!
Nudge, Spitalfields Market and Rough Trade are 5 minutes from our offices so I can go to them in a lunchtime!
I did try to get to Honest Jon's in a lunchtime on one occasion, which wasn't so successful.

LOL. I think we are getting off topic here!
Back on topic I was surprised how much George Phang I already had without realising it. Another door opens........

Josey Wales' 'Undercover lover' has the credits missing
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/4214#rel5234 but is listed in RA.
Admiral Bailey - Ram up you Party
Charlie Chaplin - Free Africa
Josey Wales - Code of Conduct
Tenor Saw meets Nitty Gritty
These might not be listed in RA because their release dates were later than 1985 (1986 respectively).
