Totally out of RA-Time but a brilliant cover is 'Crazy Bald Head' by Beenie Man & Luciano.

i didnt read through this whole thread because of general lack of interest but shine heads version of who the cap fit is very cool and imo much better than the typical bob cover.
the gladiators evidently got a lot of heat from the tuff gong side of the fence for continually covering his stuff. ive read somewhere that emissaries were sent to convince albert griffiths it could be detrimental to his health to continue the mr do over my song ways. he could sound like an even better bob many times though.
one love

just realized that "Bearded Dub" from the "Black Slate Meets Soul Syndicate - moodie in dub Vol 1" has a very similar bass line than "Three Little Birds". Someone know if this dub song (released in 78, a year later than the Exodus LP) is a Bob cover or another song cover?

That bassline is a Jamaican classic, used in many different songs over a long period of time.
Besides "Three Little Birds", other versions include "War In A Babyon" (Max Romeo), Herbsman Shuffle (King Stitt), all the way back to "Beardman Ska" (The Skatalites).
The original lick is from a late 50's instrumental by U.S. pianist Ernie Freeman called "Live It Up", a big sound system tune in JA back in the day.
